I can confirm this bug for okular/opensuse-11.4 (at least until Aug 2011).

I found this bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=181290

Bug will not be fixed before KDE 4.8 (Comment 118), but there is a 
backport for opensuse 12.1(?) (Comment 130).

BTW, interesting comment from an Okluar developer in Comment 34 (Feb 
2010): "kdeprint had no development for more than 6 years and nobody 
took the effort to make it work as it should have with the kde4/qt4 
porting."

Another one (with mail adress @kde.org) says: "KDE 3 has a printing 
system, KDE 4 doesn't." (Comment 28, Jan 2010)
