OS 12.1 KDE 4.8 from Release 48 repo Only tested on _64 system
Open dolphin on a video dir with mplayer of ffmpeg thumbs enabled and I get intense HD activity and a delay in the availability of context menu actions (Eg; right click > delete)
After about 10-15 seconds normal functions return
The same issue only returns if dolphins has been unused for some time (In the same session) or if you start a new session (logout/login)
Difficult one to put a finger on. But if thumbs are disabled there is no issue.
*FYI: dolphin is getting much better though

here is 32-bit with Kernel: 3.1.9.6 (Repo →default:openSUSE-12.1) multimedia packages (MPlayer, FFmpeg, etc) from Packman repo, Nvidia-Grafik-Driverchip (Driver self Building), KDE 4.8 from Release:48 repo. The problem can not find, dolphin work here fine. -- °/° Grüße aus dem Schwabenland, °\° gewünscht & gesendet von Linuxsusefan, ^/^ openSUSE Member, ~ die_"SuS(i)E"_sei_mit_euch,_wo_immer_ihr_seid!
