Hi Dirk,

You raised this issue on 7 January and I see that there are 43 posts in 
this thread - and, unfortunately, I just am not able to wade thru all of 
them to see what the final outcome is of your proposal.

So, what is the final outcome? Where is KDE 4.8 available or is it not 
available, please?
