Actually, your log shows that there are three USB device created by your stick. Which device works with umtsmon?
umtsmon uses these devices: ATPortName=/dev/ttyUSB2 PPPPortName=/dev/ttyUSB0 It seems, umtsmon uses two different devices? Is this normal? At least, umtsmon works fine with these settings.
