Thanks for this list, Bruno. I'll go through them and group/prioritise them

One addition: revert sqlite as default akonadiserver backend.

This thread is to collect issues arising around Kontact from upgrading
11.4 to 12.1 with its newer KDEPIM. I just tried 11.4 -> KDF (4.7.2)
in a VM with my 4 imap accounts and got
* Duplicate Personal Contacts
* Broken Personal Calendar resource
I'll call GIGO on these two, before repeating the test I saw that these
were already broken in my 4.6.0 on 11.4.
* Broken Local Folders resource (the one that causes kmail to assert
on
startup...)
This was also broken in the original state, but I did some more research
and notice that the maildir resource did not save its state on logout,
therefore I assume this brokenness is everywhere and the migrator needs
to take it into account. Unfortunately in 4.7 and 4.8, the resource
does not detect its broken config on startup, so kmail-migrator in 4.7
cannot detect and correct the problem in the overall config it inherits
from 4.6. I've created a patch to do this (bko#284224).

I've those troubles (I didn't have a previous kmail configuration but notes,
agenda, rss) The notes were not migrated to akonadiNotes
And after the first migration (I even don't remember when it was working
with factory + KDF for more than 1 years and a half now) I've clean up all
akonadi/nepomuk/strigi things and start a fresh and clean setup.)
At least the following bugs are open except the last one for konversation
(patch not yet in KDF)
Crash when opening the settings dialog if the KMail module was previously
disabled https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=209604
[Bug 283615] "Mimetype tree is not a DAG!" errors + crashes when using SMI
0.91 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283615
[Bug 271664] Virtuoso 6.1.3 cause nepomuk encoding error.
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=271664
This one is a killing one, it corrupt your nepomuk database, and nobody
knows how to fix it! So if you are someone using utf8 you're just in
trouble.
[Bug 282707] Default Special folders order is not respected and placed first
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=282707
duplicate of
[Bug 259358] Re-ordering folders via drag & drop not working anymore
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259358
This one literally kill me to use kmail2 the most ridiculous is that the
Local Folder are correctly sorted (like any mua on earth do) just the imap
resource get wrong.
[Bug 210106] Crash in marker cleanup code [QList::*,
IRCView::cullMarkedLine] https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=210106
(should be fixed quickly)
Thanks for this list, Bruno. I'll go through them and group/prioritise them
on the wiki.
One addition: revert sqlite as default akonadiserver backend.
