I'd like to enhance the section at: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Upcoming_features#From_KDE
I've added some stuff.
I was looking at the page, very informative and well laid out. One section caught my eye...
"Kontact/KMail/KOrganizer etc. now based on Akonadi. Note that the new Akonadi based KDEPIM is still not very mature, and a smooth upgrade cannot be guaranteed."
I am one of those that had no luck with the migration (kmail 1.x to 2.x). I was able to revert to KDEPIM from the KDE:/Release:/4.6 repos (kmail 1.13, etc). Will the "mature" KDEPIM be an option in 12.1?
We haven't planned to make 'old' kdepim 4.4 packages available as an option, because the kdepim authors have advised us that they are unlikely to work well with the newer kdepimlibs and akonadi-runtime in KDE 4.7. Nevertheless it might be worth a try and better than 4.7 pim for some.
Available or not it would probably be usefull info to have on the page.
We need something like https://wiki.kubuntu.org/OneiricOcelot/Final/Kubuntu/Kmail2 covering the pitfalls of the migration. I'll start another thread to identify these with 4.7.2.
