Guess I cannot figure it out on my own. I have had sound working
correctly since 11.4 install last March, but it is gone and I have not
been able to correct it. Some guidance is necessary.
I removed all pulse*, restarted rcalsasound to no avail. I ran alsaconfig
and restarted sound to no avail. I reinstalled pulse to no avail.
There is no sound from kmix -> settings -> audio setup -> test
output devices: HDAIntel (ALC892 Analog)
HDAIntel (ALC892 Digital)
HDA Nvidia (HDMI 0) #3
HDA Nvidia, HDMI 0 (HDMI Audio Output)
HDAIntel, ALC892 Digital (IEC958 (S/PDIF) Digital Audio Output
HDAIntel, ALC892 Analog (DefaultAudio Device)
HDA NVidia (HDMI 0) #7
HDA NVidia (HDMI 0) #8
HDA NVidia (HDMI 0) #9
all tested w/o success
backend is set to Xine, but VLC and GStreamer were also tried w/o success.
HELP, please.
tks,
