Running the latest update of kmail (4.7.0-290.6) I am still surprised by the time it takes to synchronize folders. I have some big folders which I seldom use but which are synchronized every time I get email from my pop accounts (30 minutes intervals). I would think it should be possible to improve this synchronizing. Something like, finding out if something has changed since the last time in a folder. If nothing has brought in via the filter, do not synchronize that folder. Why the trash folder is synchronized is something I also do not understand. Trash is what it is, just trash. Could somebody explain why synchronizing works like it does?
