Firefox under KDE behaves differently than under other desktops.
What's this ? PollKit? ksysguard? That I'm running temperature sensor and memory/cpu monitoring widgets?
Firefox under KDE (only the openSUSE version) gets default applications using KDE mechanisms instead of Gnome's GIO.
That's interesting for a number of reasons. First, other people have advised me to lock-out the openSUSE version and download directly from Mozilla. I've tried that and it doesn't work either. And as I pointed out on the page I referenced, I have tried the settings in the about:config and in the systemsetting->default browser/mailer.
