I'm using Kmail (original flavour), and since this morning the filters have 
stopped working, leaving a lot of messages stuck in the IMAP account inbox, 
when they should be moved to subfolders.

Thunderbird on my laptop works fine with an identical set of filters on the 
same account, but even after Thunderbird has moved messages to the correct 
folders, Kmail leaves them in the inbox. If I _read_ the messages in their 
correct folders on Thunderbird, then Kmail belatedly catches up.
