[opensuse-kde] Kmail2 does not let you chose different standard domain

In the SMTP settings of KMail2 you can chose a different standard domain. This
does not work for me, whatever I put in there, KMail2 does not use it. I think
this domain name is used for message id creation, right? How the heck can I
tell KMail2 to use a different domain name? I even changed /etc/hosts without
success!
