Please define "the calendar" - Kontact/KOrganizer or the panel clock's popup
calendar.
Also "it is checked" == the birthdays calendar in Kontact/KOrganizer is
checked?
The calendar in Kmail, not the panel clock. And when you are looking
at the calendar in Kmail, there is a list of calendars where you can
add new ones, and activate or deactive calendars, and the birthday one
has a checkmark in it.
