Do you fancy installing 11.3 + KDE 4.5.0 VM and copying your config across to 
reproduce the bug so we can try and fix it?

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=236775 seems to be the same behaviour.  
In any case, can you describe your setup there (bogofilter in use?) to help 
diagnose the problem?
