for the last few months on 11.2 i've been using KDE unstable and was quite happy with it. still, for my working install. it's a bit risky, so now i got the idea to use stable GNOME, which i checked out in 11.3 after a long time and sort of like--specially with KDE app's like konqueror, kmail, kdevelop, etc. i tried to install KDE unstable repos again, but any zypper dup (or the yast equivalent) with KDE unstable enabled wants to downgrade a hell of a lot of packages, switch to "inferior" 586 architecture for most of the others, and generally create havoc with my installation, i'm afraid. i'm sick at present, headache, fever, and hope that's the reason for not getting my head around this. (most likely it's old age taking it's toll, but one can keep hoping...) is there something obvious i'm missing here, or are KDE unstable repos still in the process of getting ready for 11.3? thanks for any suggestions, -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
