I tried that.  First you have to unlock the widgets then the cashew will be 
seen, then up comes the panel for messing with the panel.  But alas, no click 
and drag without a spacer.  Must be my installation.  Thanks for the try.

I'll be looking for the disable tooltips thingie.  I am glad to see I can now 
open Dolphin as root and click on a file and it opens in kwrite without having 
to go through all kinds of girations.  Thanks developers.
