Hi Ralph, Two different things, 1. Reorganizing the desktop Thats easy, yust create a new username, login with the new username and organize everything as you want. After this step you have the choice to migrate everything to the new user or move some configurationfiles to the original username of course with changing the ownership of the files. 2 Then upgrade as usual, I don't have any experience with moving from 32 to 64 bit. That was a long time ago i made this step. One thing you need sufficient memory at least 1 or 2 gig. On 20/02/10 03:57, Ralph DeWitt wrote:
Hi: I am using Opensuse 11.2 32 bit and want to do a new install of KDE 64bit reuseing my home directory. I have made some bad configuration chooses on my desktop and would like to take this upgrade to restore the desktop to original OpenSuse. Moving/renaming the .kde file is not a good option for me. So does anyone know what file/files I need to rename/move to allow this?
