@Will: hope my message got to you, but I never received any reply...
The most important question I had there is what the main tasks are when being
a maintainer of a package in KDE.Community, other than providing the (newest)
version as rpms...

PS: I'm currently changing my packages' layout in order to prepare for
submission to KDE:Community if you're still interested

Not as far as I know. I guess we were not aware of this plugin
