I have just done a new install of openSUSE 11.1. I would like to update my KDE to version 4.3.1 but do not handle dependence conflicts well. I have packman repository enabled, I also tried an install of the latest remix with 4.3 but had a knetwork crash and was never able to get an internet connection. What is the safest way to proceed? Should I wait for the next stable? How do I avoid network connection problems should I upgrade? Thanks for your help
Using YaST2 (network settings module) switch to traditional networking using ifup. This way networking isn't handled through the window manager. Networking should be working now, even from the command line. Continue upgrading using zypper, yast, yum, or whatever. -- Marc Benstein -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
