you want kwallet to open without having to provide a password the first time? just assign a blank one.
That is exactly what I do not want: a blank password. I'd like to see a PAM plugin that allows to open kwallet with a KDE login, I guess a PAM plugin would be the way to go?
If you log in as user, you have already "signed-in", so why would you need a second sign-in for the wallet, if you want to use the log-in password as the only security anyway?
because you can still set your wallet to "close when no applications use it"? That way you don't need to enter your password again just after you logged in, but if later some application wants to access your wallet, you do need the password. In combination with kddhaskpass the wallet is great. and yes there is a pam_kwallet, for kde3 though. Work is being done to port it to kde4 but it needs a custom dbus call that has to be accepted into mainstream. ...that, with ksshaskpass, would be even better. bye, MH -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
