- wireless (BCM4318) doesn't work ssb/b43 driver are missing firmware
- hal doesn't run Workaround: install fixed package from: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Base:/System/openSUSE_Factory/
- knetworkmanager even after installation of new hal package doesn't work Systray icon doesn't have many options Manage Connections and Enable Wireless. How to turn off the thing ?
- wired doesn't work after cable was plugged in Workaround: use YaST > Network Devices > Network Settings tab General to switch to ifup method (and if there is no Internet run 'rcnetwork restart')
If you don´t have connection, you won´t be able to manage connections and wireless. I have the same wireless and probably we could have a similar ethernet also, so wired/wireless doesn´t work. The issue was fixed in NetworkManager 0.7.1-52.1 and after install it, when connection started working i was able to manage connections and wireless. But it doesn´t work again in M7.
