Bob,
Have you tried setting this in the KDE personal settings? I'm running
the same version as you, and when I play something, the right one
starts. It's under file associations in the kde settings.

Hello SuSE folk,
Hopefully somebody here will now how to do this and tell the dense
one how to do it.
When one inserts a music CD or a movie DVD, Hal ???? brings up a
menu on what to do with it. Of course none of the choices are
correct. I've tried the configure option but still no luck. Want to
play a DVD with Mplayer or VLC, a music CD with XMMS. How do I do
this?
