[opensuse-kde] KMail or KDE4 socks support

hello,
it is possible to use socks proxy connection with kmail? I know there is
missing socks support in KDE4. I can use some applications e.g. kopete with
proxychains (http://proxychains.sf.net), but kmail doesn't work.
There is also issue http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147340 for this with
130 votes and high priority... Are there any plans to implement this?
