Now that gcc 4.4.0 is released, we want to switch to it. But as a matter

It would be good if you could check this before we switch, we plan to do
on May 15th. That gives you plenty of time to fix the missing includes -
as announced earlier you can test build like this:

osc build --alternative-project openSUSE:Factory:Gcc44 staging
(or you temporary add that repo to your project)

Greetings, Stephan

I took the freedom to forward the announcement of Stephan to this list
here, as I am rather sure not everybody here, who is maintaining
packages for KDE:KDE4:Community and/or KDE:KDE4:Playground, is also
subscribed to -packaging ML or -contrib.

I also to the freedom to add the repository Factory:GCC44:Staging to
Playground and Community in order for us to validate and prepare our
packages for the GCC44 switch in Factory. I will be watching the
progress for these two repositories and report the status after all have
been build.

Regards

Raymond

Hi,

Good idea. Some of the fixes are not difficult - usually a missing include or
two. Others might need more work/investigation. If you do make fixes please
forward them upstream who are usually very happy to receive them.
