I have this experience with bluetooth in KDE3 on openSUSE 11.1.
I think there is a problem in kdebluetooth3 and bluez, I thought it
was already solved with online update (maybe I'm wrong).

I write my experience in [1] some while ago.

There is also a comment there that someone successfully activate his bluetooth.
