Hello SuSE people,

In my 11.1 testbed with KDE4.2, I finally am able to open my CD & DVD
drives, flash cards, and my USB hard drive. When the little device
notifier pops up it correctly identifies the app. However, it only gives
the choice of opening with Dolphin. In the case of a CD with music on it,
it should offer a music player or with a DVD movie offer a video player
which it does not.

Am I the only one or do others verify this quirk? If I am the only one, is
there a config file someplace for hal? I guess it is. If others have the
same problem and there is no work-around I will file a bug.

Don't usually reply to my own posts but should explain that I did see the post
by Martin, (after I made my previous post) "Tip Device Notifier" posted here.
If you go to the URL and read the posts there the tip only works for certain
apps. Kaffeine and Amarok will not work and I did not get any results for
video DVD's either.

..........<SIGH!!!>.....Just another instance where KDE4 can't do what KDE3
can. I'm glad this is my test bed and I can go back to my rock solid 10.3
with KDE 3.5.10 to get things done.

I guess that these two posts have just turned out to be another "rant" sorry
about that. Didn't mean it to be. I realy hope that 4.2 gets it's s___
together soon.
