Hello,

you have to unlock the mini applications/plasmoids at first, right klick on
the desktop or a panel for that. When the plasmoids are unlocked, every panel
gets a cashew on the right side. Klick on it and you will get something like a
configuration panel. When this configuration panel is active, you easily can
drag and drop items on the panel with the left mouse button.
