Hello, Adrian Schroeter asked for opinions to merge KDE:Communtiy and KDE:KDE4:Community. See here: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-kde/2009-02/msg00119.html My opinion to that: Currently in KDE:Community there are pure Qt3/4 apps and KDE3 apps, KDE:KDE4:Community contains only KDE4 apps. If this projects become merged, than the new project contains many repositories with duplicated packages of native Qt and KDE3 apps, which don't need all the stuff from KDE4 STABLE, UNSTABLE and Factory. Surely, the packager could disable the native Qt apps and the KDE3 apps for the KDE4 STABLE, UNSTABLE and Factory repositories, but than the user nevertheless has to use two repositories. There are some Qt4 apps like QStarDict, that would also or better fit into KDE:KDE4:Community, but that doesn't apply to all packages. (Newer versions of QStarDict integrate an own plasmoid.) I think, the current situation is good for the users and good for the build ressources.
