The location of ~/Desktop and other directories could be changed in kcontrol.
I use a KDE4 with activities, so I didn't tested it.

Hi there,
I'd like to achieve the followin, after logging in to my KDE desktop I
want to have two different desktops, each with different icons for
example.
Currently you can set 2 different wallpapers for two different desktops,
but there still is only one $HOME/Desktop folder. Is there a way to get
a second "$HOME/Desktop2" that can be altred totally different from
desktop1 (=$HOME/Desktop)?
I hope I was able to express what I want in an understandable way ;-)
