Don't know, how it has been turned on. But if it is kmail that's deleteing 
your mails you can find the "Expire..." menu entry in the folders context menu.

Another way to achieve the automatic deletion of old mail is to configure your 
IMAP server - only if you are using IMAP of course - to expire messages. But 
it is unlikely that you have turned this on by accident ;-)
