I've just upgraded to suse 11.1 and kde 4.1.
Reading the KDE quick start on page 3 there should be a way to align all
the widgets.

The manual tells me: right click an empty patch on the desktop and select
Align horizontally or vertically

1.What is an empty patch?
2. I can't find any menu item "Align horizontally or Align vertically"

Is it disappeared or am I looking on the wrong place ?

Sounds like you're reading about the folderview widget/desktop activity and
icon alignment.

Which is different from aligning widgets. Don't think you can align widgets,
that would be difficult since they come in all kinds of shapes and sizes.

(Disclaimer: Am on 11.0 here, and couldn't find the documentation online in
under 5 minutes - so I really have no clue what you're reading)
