Hi,
I am trying to configure firefox 3.0.4 to use send link via kmail 1.10.3
(KDE 4.1.3). Searching in google I found a lot of references and it is
said that I need to setup network-protocol-handler.app.mailto as
/usr/bin/kmail. Ok, when I click the Send link kmail is open in new
message window, but the link is not copied to kmail new message.
What is the right way to do this?
Thank you
Thadeu
With Firefox 3 you don't need to do the about:config stuff anymore. In
fact, if you upgraded from Firefox 2 (and did the about:config stuff), then
you need to undo that. Also, you need to remove the
~/.mozilla/firefox/<random chars - profile>/mimTypes.rdf
Once you have done so, then you simply use Send Link. You should get a
prompt from Firefox asking what application to use.
Also, I selected kmailservice rather than kmail.
So, if you do have kmail's composer opening, you could just try switching
to kmailserver instead and see if that does the trick.
