I'd just like to know...
is the opensuse kde4-kmail package akonadi based? Or is it simply a port of
the earlier KDE3 Kmail?
Neither nor. the kmail that was released with KDE 4.1 is not akonadi based,
but not because it was ported by opensuse.
I'm not sure, but I think KDE 4.2 will have an akonadi-based kmail.
