kmail has broken configuration compatibility between kde3 and kde4,
thats why the settings weren't copied automatically by the migration

There is no way around a clean start unfortunately, unless somebody
convinces upstream that this is a real issue and needs fixing.

keep me from switching to kde4. This setup works, no reason to change
it, and it's been easy up until now to upgrade. Even when the switch to
