Well it usually does respond but I have logout to kdm and login again
into kde in order to make it appear.

and when does it stop reacting? after the first use already? some time
later? is it reproducible?

Just for the record the current kdeaccessibility3-3.5.9-12.6 still
doesn't provide a reliable audio volume OSD. Neither for an existing KDE
user nor for a fresh one. Gnome, however, has no problems neither with
OSD nor with the audio master channel. The last kdeaccessibility3-3.5.8
package worked. However I can't find it nowhere.

Am I missing something? What does kdeaccessibility3 have to do with OSD?

And could you answer Dirk's questions?

Will
