Well for instance. The Konsole is white fonts on black. No way to change

Hi Bob,

The text and background colors can be changed via Settings -> Edit
Current Profile -> Appearance tab. There are a number of preset color
schemes available, including the Black text / White background seen
in KDE 3. The text size setting is on the same tab.

Hi Robert,
Thanks. That did it for me.

When you say "No way to change it", I take it that the settings were
not where you expected to find them.

That is what happened. Under Settings on 3.5 there is a long menu and about
3/4 of the way down there is a Fonts choice. On 4.0 I saw the "Profile"
things and never even looked in there figuring it was not relevant.

Could you explain where you
tried to look for the settings and didn't find them? I'm not sure
whether this problem is a flaw in the UI or just that things have been
re-arranged from where they were in KDE 3.

Rearranged I guess, as above

The Ctrl++ / Ctrl-- shortcuts for changing text size were intended for
temporary text size changes as in web browsers like Firefox. If it is
more intuitive for people then it can be made permanent. There are a
couple of bug reports open related to this.

Hmmmm...I.ve never done that. I just scroll in the window to change the size.

Found out how to get apps onto the task bar via another poster. Right click on
the app in the menu and choose move to task bar. That helps me a lot. Still
can't move them or change their size but I will be patient.

Anway, Thanks again
