Can't really say I have ever understood the KDE remote desktop model very well, but I have managed to use it over the years with various VNC apps and with Krdc and Krfb which work, not great, but able to get the job done.... I just installed 10.3 and just got around to setting up Krfb so that I could connect to this computer from other system. I bypass the invitation stuff, allow uninvited invitations with password and without a popup confirmation prompt. Went to my laptop (running SuSE 10.2) connected to the new 10.3 system using Krdc, and got a display that looks like crap! (Kinda like one of the screensavers that jumbles up everything into blocks and shuffles em around, an NO I am NOT running a screensaver when I was testing this out.) The display on my laptop, showing me the desktop of the 10.3 system initially came up in a recognizable way, but as soon as I start to move the mouse and drag windows around it quickly becomes a jumbled mess. I am using a high speed local network, but tried the various settings for different network connection speeds and it made no difference. I also set up the alternate method via Yast to allow a remote administrator, which establishes a connection via the KDM login manager, and that works fine giving me a reasonable display. But I don't necessarily want to establish a new login session which is why I was choosing to use Krfb and Krdc in the first place, as that allows me to join the login session already in progress. So did something happen to the KDE remote desktop tools in SuSE 10.3? Any ideas on how I should proceed to get them working? Much appreciate any help offered, I am kinda stumped!
