The column headers in the folder view control sorting. Click on them to
select different orders. The Date column has several: Order of arrival
ascending or descending, origination date ascending or descending.

That's an option, too, with both ascending and descending options. It
also has a variation with "status," but I don't know what that means. I
set mine all to thread by date of arrival with newest at the bottom
(arrow pointing downward).
