Hello SuSE people,
Trying to upgrade kde 3.5.5 to 3.5.7 on 10.2 After fighting with a Kmail
crashing problem for two weeks (finally solved) a new problem has raised it's
ugly head.
Upon trying to open an application I get a message "Could not find mime-type
application /octet-stream" After that message another message pops-up
stating "No mime-types installed" Then the window of the app (Konqueror in
one case) but there is nothing in it. No icons, no fonts, nothing. What is
this and how can that be? Does a KDE upgrade do something with mime-types?
Have no idea where to look, Help/info a little guidance would sure be
appreciated.
Bob S.
