Unfortunately I don't have the time to think this through. What I want to 
stress though is:
 - A KDE4 session is not a supported use case on 10.3 - it's nice if it works,
   but not a requirement. It's a preview after all.
 - Any chance done now is risking our release majorly as it won't get much
   changes

So whatever you do: prefer a KDE4 only change that does not require changes 
anywhere else. If a KDE4 session won't run without these changes, document 
them on opensuse.org wiki, but don't add them to 10.3.
