Noticed the same thing on a opensuse 10.2 system using standard KDE 3.5.5
release 45.4 on Intel core duo system running in 32 bit mode

kdepim3-networkstatus-3.5.5-36
kdepim3-3.5.5-39
kdepim3-kpilot-3.5.5-36
kdepim3-notes-3.5.5-36
kdepim3-time-management-3.5.5-36

I haven't bothered chasing this as I do not use these two tools much. This did
all work earlier.

I just checked my system by downgrading kdepim3 to this version and karm and
knotes started working correctly again.

kdepim3-networkstatus-3.5.5-36
kdepim3-3.5.5-36                                        <== changed package
kdepim3-kpilot-3.5.5-36
kdepim3-notes-3.5.5-36
kdepim3-time-management-3.5.5-36

Haven't tested further but this might help.
