Hi, I've installed the KDE packages from
http://software.opensuse.org/download/KDE:/KDE4/openSUSE_10.2 to have a bit ;
of a look & play on my openSUSE 10.2 system.I've installed the standard
meta-port plus some other packages. When I try to login with the KDE4 preview
session selectewd in KDM, the screen goes black & X restarts.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas about troubleshooting this - Xorg.0.log
and kdm.log don't show any useful info.
I did try starting X without any window manager & then ran kde4init in an
xterm. That gave me an warning: no DBUS session-bus found. Perhaps that's got
something to do with it? I checked with ps & dbus seems to be running.
