There is no package from KDE4 installed (checked it with rpm right at the 
moment)

kdenetwork3-InstantMessenger-3.5.7-5.1 is currently installed.

Am I missing the so/la-files for icq?

and stay with the old KDE 3.5.5 (dont know what was the original KDE-version) 
or can I update directly after downgrading? Or do you mean to force the 
downgrade of (only) the kdenetwork3-InstantMessaging.rpm?
