I have no idea. I've always turned that "feature" off right from the start.
Personally, I like having KDE start up in a constant state, so I use the
Autostart folder. I do the same in all my apps - I hate the "open the last
thing I was working on" option anywhere.

UNIX is user-friendly. It's just a bit picky about who its friends are.
