Hello,
I had suse 9.0 for about 3 years. I bought a new desktop, intel duo core 64-bit, and I installed openSUSE 10.2. The only problem I have is that the windows don't move smoothly when I move them from one spot to another! Also scrolling in firefox is such a pain, it looks like it's flipping pages rather than scrolling!
Any ideas? I tried searching around for "slow scrolling" but I can't think of any terms.
I don't think it's the hardware since the machine is new! Also I received the box with windows on it, and that problem did not occur, does that mean it's the driver?
Any help is appreciated.
Regards,

Probably graphics. Also, you can't really use Windows as a test of any kind to determine what might be wrong with your machine, as you're just not comparing oranges to oranges.
Secondly, there is a setting in the Preferences of FF that allows you to turn on "smooth scrolling", but I doubt that will fix your problem much until you get things right with the system setup. Also, remember, new machines have their problems too! ;-) Since it does all work in Windows though, I suspect it's just your setup and not the hardware. regards, Lee -- --- KMail 1.96 --- Zenwalk v4.4.1 - Linux 2.6.20 --- Registered Linux User #225206 "All animals except man know that the principal business of life is to enjoy it."--Samual Butler --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kde+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-kde+help@opensuse.org
