Alex,
Have you tried another email client to test this? It could be a problem
on the server end, rather than yours, if it just started. Have you
tried renaming your kmail directory or it's config file so a new one is
created to test if your configuration has gone to the dark side?
I always wondered if kmail had a feature such as this. I used a mailer
on the Amiga that I could look at the headers of each mail before
downloading or deleting on the server. It was very handy.

Alex,
