Hi, I looked through the archives and found that I need to save ~/.gconf and ~/.evolution to backup my email and folders [or so it appears] but I don't know how to get at these folders or email messages once I've done a fresh install [equivalent for reformatting the hard drive, etc.]. I have to take a suse 9.3 box and roll it back to suse 9.2 for dev reasons. Unfortunately there's a lot of email on it as it was upgraded, semi unsuccessfully, so suse 9.3. I want to back up the email on this suse 9.3 box now, do a fresh install complete with reformatted drive and then either load or recreate the folders and restore the old email. If I could just restore the folders that would be best sas they won't exist on a new install anyway but at the worst just getting the old messages in there will suffice. How do you do it? I've seen no references to re-opening old messages or foders, just people talking about saving the afore-mentioned directories. Sorry if this has been clearly answered, but how do you get at the old messages and folders of you saved off ~/.gconf and ~/.evolution directories? tia... Jack
