I don't think they are
Try running
kcmshell screensaver
from a konsole window. If it comes up without any screensavers, close it and
run
strace -f -F -o kcmshell.strace kcmshell screensaver
and either send me the file kcmshell.strace, or post it online somewhere where
it can be accessed. It should tell us what's happening

I don't think they are
Try running
kcmshell screensaver
