Hello Stefano, You don't need to update to 9.3 to enjoy the latest KDE. Follow the instructions here: http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/11504.html This will not only update your KDE to 3.4.1 but also update many other system files like the kernel, etc (If you select the updates). I have 9.3 but I followed these instructions (slightly changed to reflect that I have 9.3 not 9.2) and they worked great! Alvin On Sunday 17 July 2005 19:25, Stefano Kueng wrote:
Hi, since many week kopete desn't work on my SuSE 9.2 professional with my MSN account. I know that a new release of this is done because with the new SuSE 9.3 kopete work fine, but I won't upgrade to 9.3 my system. I tryed to download and install the new version with the bug fix from www.kopete.org (0.10.1) but I can't install it (./cofigure give me some warnings: configure: WARNING: linux/if_ppp.h: present but cannot be compiled configure: WARNING: linux/if_ppp.h: check for missing prerequisite headers? configure: WARNING: linux/if_ppp.h: see the Autoconf documentation configure: WARNING: linux/if_ppp.h: section "Present But Cannot Be Compiled" configure: WARNING: linux/if_ppp.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's result configure: WARNING: linux/if_ppp.h: in the future, the compiler will take precedence configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------------ ## configure: WARNING: ## Report this to the AC_PACKAGE_NAME lists. ## configure: WARNING: ## ------------------------------------------ ##

How should I do??? Someone has a suggestion? Many thanks in advance. Maybe there was a solution in the past, but I'm new in this list... sorry! Stefano
