Have a look into the directory

/opt/kde3/share/apps/kdm/sessions/

There are plenty of sessions prepared. If there is a .desktop file for your session, make sure that the "Exec" and TryExec" lines contain the path to your session start script. If there is no such .desktop file, create one with the appropriate contents.
