I suggest that for mail that cannot, by use of a KMail filter, be
reasonably ascertained to be safe (known sender, properly filtered
mailing list, etc.) that the folder in which such mail is deposited
(including your "inbox") have the viewing preference "Prefer HTML to
Plain Text" option (in the "Folder" menu) _dis_abled.

Or turn off "Prefer HTML to Plain Text".
